Sorrento Plaza
San Diego, California
The plaza landscape plays with the idea of a canyon crevice through the use of flagstone blocks and square planters overlapping with a circular water feature and round tree planters. The site features create a forced perspective
by the combined placement of the ground plane cubes and the vertical arrangement of a series of tall narrow Cypress Trees. The overall landscape design also created a series of small spaces on the perimeter of the site that have pea gravel walking surfaces and are surrounded by tall dense trees which provide users with private retreat spaces for lunch and work breaks. |
