| Francis Parker Middle School
San Diego, California
The landscape design provided for a pedestrian walkway that emphasized
the school's unique hilltop setting and panoramic views of neighboring canyons and hillsides. Native canyon plantings such as the California Sycamore were chosen to frame views as well as shade walkways. Pathway materials included concrete for the more highly used walkways, while more textural materials such as decomposed granite and shredded bark were used for the meandering canyon edge path.
